CBK Zuisoost celebrates 25 years of BijlmAIR residency, and our fellows, Razia Barsatie and Bernard Akoi-Jacson, will participate in conversations during the publication 'Live, Learn, Create ... Repeat - BijlmAIR 25 Years Artists in Amsterdam Southeast' launch, with more fellows, Option Dzikamai Nyahunzvi, Zanele Muholi, and Terrence Musekiwa, included in the publication. The event will take place on Saturday, 21 February, from 3 pm.

What does it mean to have a residency in Amsterdam Zuidoost for a quarter of a century? For both the neighborhood and the artists—and for the Amsterdam art world? This is the subject of the bilingual publication "Live, Learn, Create...Repeat." It contains several reflections and 99 profiles of artists, artist duos, and collectives who have resided over the past twenty-five years under the banner of BijlmAIR, the residency program of CBK Zuidoost.

The book explores the history of the residency, its various locations, how the artists engaged and interacted with the neighborhood, and the impact of BijlmAIR. The book will be presented as part of a special program on the final day of the AIR in Zuidoost exhibition, which showcases the work of the 2025 artists in residency, including our fellow's Nseabasi Akpan.
