2025-03-07 | Admire Admire Kamudzengere: Cheuka Art Fair in Harare, Zimbabwe

Our fellow Admire Kamudzengere was one of the initiators of the Cheuka Harare Art Fair which took place in at the Andy Miller Hall, Harare Exhibition Park from 27 February to 1 March.

In a significant boost for local visual artists aspiring for international recognition, Harare hosted Zimbabwe’s inaugural art fair, the Cheuka Art Fair (CHAF25).

Curated by Laura Ganda, the fair is the brainchild of Wallen Mapondera, Admire Kamudzengere, and Merilyn Mushakwe.

The quartet was joined by other talented visual artists, including Gareth Nyandoro, Mostaff Muchawaya, Kressiar Mukwazhi, Gideon Gomo, Victor Nyakauru, and Nothando Chiwanga, who will participate in group discussions.

As the first event of its kind in Zimbabwe, CHAF25 will bring together galleries, artists, and international collectors to buy, sell, and showcase a diverse array of artworks.
