On Saturday, April 4, at 4pm Lagos time and 10am Fayetteville time, our fellow Jelili Atiku will present his performance at 2 locations at once.
Borderless Collaboration, Thinking, and Living will bring Fayetteville, Arkansas, and Lagos, Nigeria into dialogue through a shared live performance. Simultaneous presentations will unfold in both cities, each projected in real time onto a screen in the other location, creating a dynamic performance space that connects the two communities across continents.
In Fayetteville, the performance, featuring 16+ School of Art students, will coincide with the first Farmers’ Market of the season on the Fayetteville Downtown Square & Gardens. It will begin with a procession around the Square at approximately 10am and conclude at One East Center (1 E. Center St., Atrium).
In Lagos, the corresponding performance will begin at Ilaje Waterfront, Bariga (Alhaji Yinusa Street), incorporating Osa Creek and its sand (yanrin), before moving to Kings and Queens Arts Academy and inviting the public into a shared ritual of healing and energy alignment.
